Vale Graeme Thomas

Graeme Thomas, a long-time supporter of the Traralgon GRC, has passed away after a long illness.

We offer our condolences to his wife Margaret Thomas, family and friends.

Graeme was a life member of TGRC and was well known for his tireless fundraising efforts for the club.

With a large beef cattle farm in Meeniyan, Graeme still managed to find time for the club and as the support team for Margaret, who is a renowned trainer in Gippsland, a former vice president and past president of the club.

Margaret was inducted into the GRV Hall of Fame, receiving the 2004 Ken Carr Medal – the highest award for excellence within the Victorian greyhound racing industry.

TGRC president Don Haley, paid tribute to Graeme.

“Margaret always used to say that she couldn’t do what she did without Graeme.

“He was a strong supporter of the club, very involved for many years. Graeme was larger than life, he was full of life and he will be missed by many people.”
