LEADERBOARD UPDATE: Race for bonus prize money hotting up with one leg remaining

Competition for the rich $35,000 in bonus prize money on offer in the Gippsland Carnival is wide open with the final leg of the series moving to Traralgon.

A total of 46 greyhounds remain in contention to share in the money – which will be paid to the top three points scorers from both the sprint and staying streams.

Aston Bolero heads a list of 37 greyhounds in contention to share in the bonus $20,000 in the sprint stream, with nine greyhounds still in contention to share in $15,000 in the staying stream, led by Chrichton Bale (pictured above).

Greyhounds can earn a maximum of 24 points at Traralgon by winning a heat (8) and final (16) of the Group 2 Traralgon Cup (525m) or the Traralgon Distance Cup (665m), with points being allocated down to fourth place in the heats and finals of each event.

Heats of the two Traralgon events will be run on 18 March, and the finals on 25 March.
