Fanta Bale is looking to continue her dominant month of group racing on Saturday night when she lines up in the heats of the Group Two Traralgon Cup after taking out two Group One races during the Australian Cup Carnival at The Meadows.
The Traralgon Cup is the fourth and final leg of the Gippsland Carnival which has spanned over three months with more than $800,000 distributed in prize money.
Jesaulenko is just one of a number of local hopes on Saturday night in the Traralgon Cup heats, which are run over the 525 metre distance. The son of College Causeway and Elite Fairy has had five starts for two wins over the 525 metres which includes a track record performance in April of 2016, clocking 29.835sec. He will jump from box eight in the second Group Two Traralgon Cup heat.
Last years Traralgon Cup winner Pantera Nera is bypassing the Group Two Traralgon Cup for a road trip to NSW to line up in the Maitland Gold Cup.
It cant be a Gippsland Carnival campaign without a handful of Jason Thompson chasers – six to be exact, five of which will contest the Traralgon Cup heats.

Racing kicks off at 5.55pm on Saturday night, with the first Traralgon Cup heat set to jump at 7.22pm.
