More than a dash of class was shown by Dash Of Rose (pictured – photo from Traralgon Facebook page) on Saturday night at Traralgon in the $10,000 Members Cup, which is run over the 595 metre distance.
Dash Of Rose, who is trained by Sharon-Lee Chignell, is now a winner of 13 races from 46 starts which also includes 13 minor placings and $34,470 to her name. The daughter of Cosmic Chief and Abigail Rose opened the betting paying $13.30 for her biggest feature win to date.
Classy chaser Angie Rocks was the pre-race favourite ($2.40) but was one length short of running down Dash Of Rose in what could have been an impressive return to feature racing for the Mario Briganti trained chaser.
The $7,000 to-the-winner Members Cup was Dash Of Roses’ second start over the middle distance, clocking a personal best and best of the night time of 34.92 seconds.
